Come join me as we dive into black magic. Today were gonna talk about Hydrick Carl Ryngo. Mr. Ryngo was a mysterious man, but he wanted to help people, sure they were alive, and sure he was a grave robber. But all Hydrick wanted in life was the love of one women, Angelic Legare. The only problem with that was, she was already dead. As Hydrick went on a mission to get his love, some terrible things happened along the way. Today were going to stop at a very historical and important Church, the St Johns Lutheran Church at 10 Archdale Street. This German Friendly Society was founded in 1766 by members of the congregation to assist new immigrants and to give aid to the windows and ophans. German architect Frederick Wesner was the one who designed this church and Abraham P Reeves did the iron work. Dr. John Bachman was the heart and soul behind this church and made sure everyone and anyone who wanted attend the church. in 1860 the black communicant membership of St Johns had grown to 200 members with a black Sunday school of 150 pupils. St. Johns was the first Charleston Church to reopen following the Civil War. this church as faced some major hits due to Mother Nature but never gave up.

Today we stop at one of the many Churches we have here in the Holy City. At 6 Archdale Street The Unitarian Universalist Church in the middle of being built when it came to a pause do to the American Revolution. Many Pastors served at this church, as well as many people had their hands in building this beautiful church. It has been through earthquakes, hurricanes and a war. This church was reconstructed to fix inside and outside damages. In 2005 the Church received a Carolopolis Award from the preservation Society of Charleston. Dr. Samuel Gilman and his wife are buried in the churchyard. The Gilmans have a very important and productive rule with the church.

As we over look the Ansonborough suburb and this being Charles Towns first Suburb. Well talk about George Anson and his life achievements and what he did for Charles Town. Well also talk about Mazyck and Gadsden and the rolls they played with George Anson to make Charles Town and Ansonborough so great and successful.

Our first stop on Archdale Street is gonna be 3 and 4 Archdale. At 3 Archdale Mrs. Fullerton built this building as an outbuilding to her home which faced Queen Street and the main house was destroyed in the great fire of 1861, the this brick kitchen survived.
Then off to 4 Archdale Street Gage Hall was a 2 story brick Victorian building that had rusticated stone entry that was presented to the Unitarian Church by Alva Gage.

Welcome to Archdale Street. A little History about Archdale, the Street was named after John Archdale who was a Quaker who was Governor of the Provinve of Carolina. Archdale is in the Red Light District which was the Brothel District. Many German settlers were among the streets early residents.

ARGHHHH yer matey. Come walk the plank with me as we talk about the Pirates that influenced and tourtered the Carolina Shores. Well be talking about Blackbeard, Sted Bonnet, Anne Bonny, and Mary Reed. Well talk about how these 4 buccaneers either made Charleston home or visited Charleston shores. At one point Bonnet and Blackbeard joined together to take over Charlestons harbour to get drugs, and then dive into how Bonnet made White Point Garden his final resting spot against his wills. Well also talk about Anne Bonny and how she was never seen again after her trial and got out of being hung and may have possibly made her finally home at the Pink House.

Were at our last stop of Anson Street. Today were talking about 89 to 93 Anson Street St Johns Reformed Episcopal Church and St Josephs Rectory and Philip Simmions Garden. We talk about how the Episcopal Church first served as Anson Street Chapel for African American Presbyterians and then switched to St Josephs Roman Cathoic Church for the Irish. Well also talk about Philip Simmons and his Iron Work in the city.
