Today were going to stop at a strip of homes on Anson Street. Martin Dowd and William Thompson owned a few tenements, and turned the builds into small commercial rental properties, and William made his home out of brick with a Greek revival twist to it.

Today were going to stop first and say Happy Memorial Day to all those who passed away while serving their country.
Now were off to 46 Anson Street to talk about Thomas Wallace very interesting L shaped home.

Let go back to 1850 and walk into the Aiken Rhett Home and see what William Aiken Senior and Henrietta Aikens home looked like. This home is like stepping back into history. This home was in the family for 142 years, lets go see what the walls have to offer. But don't get to close to the bath tub cause Mrs. Henrietta doesn't like no one else even looking at that porcelain tub, and don't touch that French sink either. Come on an adventure with me as we tour and talk about the Aiken Rhett House and what may have transpired here and who the family once were. I believe the back yard and the slave quarters may hold all the secrets, but not just the family secrets, but some....dark.....dark.....untold secrets, stories, and history that the Aiken-Rhett family may not want to be told.

Lets go see what these wonderful women and their homes are up to. First were going to stop at 34 Anson Street and talk about Mrs. Mary Lanneau and her Philadelphia red brick home. Then were going to go down to Mrs Ann Hunts home at 45 Anson and see what was left after the 1838 fire came through.

Today well be talking 27 Anson which use to be the Palmetto Fire Company Hall would served as a home for volunteer Firefighters and then well move next door to 28 Anson which was the Old Weils Mattress Factory which use to be a cotton warehouse that turned into a mattress Factory.

Come walk down Anson Street with me. Today well wonder throw Goldsmith Row and talk about the significants this row had on the community.

 
Today were going to be talking about one of the historically haunted Inns that we have here in Charleston. Come join me as we possibly watch an angry wife carryout a murder. And don't forget the next time you tell someone you are gonna promise something, remember a promise is a promise no matter how bloody that promise is. Lets go walk the halls of The Meeting Street Inn and about the hauntings and some History to go alone with it. But don't forget to wipe your shows at the front door, and don't touch any of that German beer or wine.

Come join me as we make our last stop on Ann Street. Today were going to make a stop at the South Carolina Rail Road Company Freight Depot. and talk about what this building as done for the community in the past as well as the present business.
